The wineries here are much more spread out than Napa Valley, so those of you who love scenic country drives, make sure to visit Sonoma Wine Country. The line-up shown below gives you an example of our standard Sonoma Valley Tour. Tour times are flexible, but typically start at 9:00 a.m., and conclude around 6:00 p.m. This itinerary can be modified to accommodate your needs. SONOMA VALLEY OVERVIEWFirst your tour guide will give you an overview of Sonoma Valley, including the vineyards, appellations and geography; to lay a foundation on which you can build as you travel through the Valley. ARROWOOD VINEYARDS & WINERYWine Tasting. This quaint winery was established in 1986 by Richard and Alis Arrowood. The have a knack for producing extraordinary wines. Wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Viognier, Pinot Blanc and Late-Harvest Riesling. GUNDLACH BUNDSCHU WINERYWine Tasting and Gift Shop. This historic stone winery was established in 1858 and produces a wide range of mostly estate-grown wines. Wines: Gewurtztraminer, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Meritage, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Merlot. LUNCHA Gourmet Picnic Lunch will be served at winery or in the Plaza Park in downtown Sonoma. Lunch of your choice will be purchased from the famous Sonoma Cheese Factory. KENWOOD VINEYARDSWine Tasting and Gift Shop. This winery became well known for their "artist series" Cabernet wines which adorn labels designed by leading artists. Wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel. CHATEAU ST. JEANWine Tasting and Garden Tour. This beautiful chateau-style winery with immaculately maintained gardens, became well-known in the 1970s with a series of vineyard-designated Chardonnays, Fume Blancs, Rieslings and dessert wines. Wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Fume Blanc, Gewurtztraminer, Johannisberg Riesling, Mourvedre, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Sparkling Wine. KUNDE ESTATE WINERYWine Tasting and Gift Shop. The magnificent Kunde Estate spreads out over 2000 acres, 650 of which are planted to vineyards. Caves dug into the Sonoma hillside store many of their wines. Wines: Meritage, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
