Forbes Five Star Property Mugen Waikiki at ESPACIO Featured in Foodie in Paradise

My Wine Guide® is featured in a new piece from Foodie in Paradise, written by Wesley Zane of Mugen Waikiki at ESPACIO — a Forbes Five Star, AAA Five Diamond property in Honolulu.

Before switching to My Wine Guide, Mugen maintained its award-winning wine list on printed paper stock in a custom binder. Every change in availability, vintage, or new acquisition meant a reprint — costly, slow, and never quite caught up with what was actually in the cellar. For a five-star dining room, an inaccurate list at the table isn't an option.

Mugen moved its wine, cocktail, and menu-pairing program onto iPad mini, giving staff a list that updates in real time and giving guests a format built for their dining room. One detail Zane highlights: adjustable brightness and text size made a real difference for guests in Mugen's dimly lit setting — something a printed list can't offer. A short walkthrough at the table was all guests needed before navigating the list on their own.

The piece also points to the operational side: My Wine Guide's integration with Toast keeps POS, menu, and inventory data in one place instead of two or three, so what's sold at the table matches what's in the cellar. For a program managing depletions and acquisitions daily, that's hours of admin work removed from staff schedules each month.
